Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We kept it short and plain on purpose — that's how a good tech helper should talk.

Overview
TechTown ("we", "us") helps you fix everyday problems with your devices. To do that, people show us their screens, their settings and sometimes a corner of their home or office, so our approach is to collect as little as possible, keep it no longer than needed, and be clear about both.
Information we collect
- Account details you give us — your name, email address, and plan.
- What you share in a fix session — your messages, the photos and screenshots you send, and the device details you tell us about, such as a model or operating system.
- Your saved setup — the devices and past fixes you choose to keep for next time, until you delete them.
- Booking details — if you book a technician, the contact details and address needed for the visit or remote session.
- Usage data — how you interact with the product, used to keep it reliable and improve it.
Your passwords
We never ask for your passwords, and you never need to send them. When a password is part of a fix, TechTown walks you through entering or resetting it yourself. If one slips into a message, tell us and we'll delete it.
Photos and session history
What you share in a fix session is used only to help you with that fix. Photos and session history are deleted when the fix is done unless you choose to keep them, and anything you keep can be deleted by you at any time. Nothing you share is used to train AI models— not ours, and not anyone else's.
Technicians
When you book a technician, we share the session history and the details needed for that job with the technician doing it — and only for that job. A technician connects to your devices only when you invite them.
How we use information
To provide the service, secure your account, communicate with you about the service, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing
Beyond the technicians you book, we share information only with service providers who help us operate (under contracts that bind them to protect it), when required by law, or as part of a business transfer.
Retention
Account information is kept while your account is active. Session content follows the rules above. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and least-privilege practices — to protect your data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, including under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and the GDPR. To exercise them, contact hello@techtown.ae.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We avoid non-essential tracking.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll let you know — in plain language, naturally.
